Cheer Camp
Join us this summer for a new camp format with a 3-full day training program that is offered to IYF cheerleaders registered for the 2025 season.
IYF is partnering with United Cheer Association (UCA) with Varsity Spirit and hosting a cheer camp led by UCA Staff.
When and where is camp?
Camp will be held at Tibbets Park on July 21-23 from 9am-3pm daily. (We may move camp to an indoor location if needed for weather, smoke, etc).
If you can't attend all 3 days, no problem. We would love to have your cheerleader whenever you can make it.
Tell me more about UCA and their staff?
UCA trains more cheerleaders (at all age levels) than any other camp company in the world and is the one-stop shop to perfect the fundamentals, learn the newest innovative skills, level up your game day experience, and plan your journey for the season. The UCA Staff are 100% USA CHEER SAFETY CERTIFIED, hand selected from the nation's top collegiate programs, including the medalists from the US National Cheer Teams. Your UCA Instructors have one goal- to make your team the best they can be while having fun. Coming from top cheerleading programs in the country, UCA instructors bring their knowledge and passion to camp, so your team can reach their full potential. The UCA Staff undergo comprehensive training that includes athlete safety, skills progression, and game day readiness to ensure their very best.
What will the athletes learn at camp?
Our athletes will work on jumps, kicks, cheers, dances and some older squads will stunt* alongside the UCA Staff. The curriculum will focus on mastering fundamentals while having FUN! All squads will learn how to create excitement and engage the crowd during a game with poms, signs, megaphones, flags and proper spiriting techniques in the Spirit Prop Workshop! During Game Day Training, teams will learn exciting and crowd effective sidelines, cheers and band chants to become the ultimate crowd leaders at games. Time with the UCA Staff to work on a performance showmanship and practice a sideline dance. Jumps and Kicks workshop are designed to improve jumps and flexibility fundamentals and technique. Team USA will offer team building exercises, encouraging evaluations, and leadership training as well.
*Some squads will learn stunt work and pyramid curriculum from beginner to moderate with transitions and dismounts while still following the UCA progressions with Safety Awareness Testing, Spotting Seminars and Stunt Qualifications.
